Description : Sensei is a popular celebrity character in the online kids game, Club Penguin. He first appeared in late 2008 as part of a major event at the Dojo, a popular hangout for players in the game. During the event, strange things began to happen on Club Penguin, including the appearance of the long-rumored Club Penguin ninjas. The old Dojo was destroyed, and then the Sensei appeared as it was re-built. He took up residence inside the Dojo and became a major part of a new mini-game launched on the site called Card-Jitsu.

In the Card-Jitsu game, which exists both as an online mini-game on the web site and as a collectible trading card game that can be bought in stores, Sensei guides players as they seek to improve their martial arts skills by competing against each other. In the online version of the game, players advance through levels, or "belts" until they obtain the black belt. At this point, they may compete against Sensei and if they can defeat him, they become a Club Penguin ninja and earn a special ninja outfit. They also gain access to the secret ninja hideout, also known as the Flying Flippers Emporium.

Sensei normally appears inside the Dojo but recently has been making special celebrity appearances in the game. During these special appearances, he arrives on random servers and will chat with other players. Players who are fortunate enough to find him can obtain a special autographed player card background from him as a souvenir. His appearances are limited, and usually tied to special events, just like the appearances from other celebrity penguins such as Rockhopper, Gary the Gadget Guy, and the Club Penguin Band. When he is appearing in the game, many players will post sightings of him on blogs or in forums. There are also several Sensei Tracker widgets available, which attempt to pinpoint his location as he moves from server to server in the game.
